About Taya
I am a passionate Violin tutor with 5 years of dedicated teaching experience, having successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels.
My experience has allowed me to understand different learning styles and adapt my teaching accordingly. I focus strongly on building a solid technical foundation, starting with correct posture, proper bow hold, finger placement, and tone production.
Once students gain control and confidence, I gradually introduce scales, shifting, dynamics, and expressive pieces to enhance their musical growth.
My lessons are structured yet engaging, ensuring that students remain motivated while progressing steadily. I also provide clear practice techniques so learners know how to practise effectively at home. Along with practical playing, I integrate basic music theory and ear training to develop well-rounded musicians.
My unique strength lies in my patience and ability to simplify complex techniques into manageable steps. My goal is to nurture confident, disciplined, and expressive violinists who enjoy every stage of their musical journey.

My approach to teaching violin focuses on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I communicate every concept in simple steps so students clearly understand posture, bowing techniques, fingering patterns, tone control, and dynamics.
Since each student learns differently, I adjust my method to suit their strengths and weaknesses.
I also include related subjects such as music theory, scale practice, ear training, rhythm studies, sight reading, ensemble coordination, and basic music appreciation. I use real-life examples like exam preparation strategies, concert rehearsals, and collaborative performances to show how skills are applied outside the classroom.
I guide students in building daily practice routines and overcoming challenges such as stage fear. My ultimate goal is to create confident violinists who are technically skilled, musically aware, and passionate about continuous learning.
