About Sofia

Hi my name is Sofia and I am an undergraduate studying Economics at UCL. I teach Mathematics and English up to a GCSE Level standard.

Having studied through the multiple lockdowns I understand the stresses of navigating through different learning and organisational techniques. I am here to ensure that I will adapt and patiently find the perfect technique for my tutee as this is vital in relieving them of their stresses. I am a very vibrant and motivated individual and I love supporting and teaching others wherever and whenever I can.

I have worked with younger children all throughout my life from being a Mentor and Prefect in Sixth Form, to being a babysitter. With this experience, I have the flexibility to connect with my tutees in different ways to find the perfect teaching style for them.

About the lesson

- I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and English Literature at A Level and achieved an A*in all of them
- I am a very patient and motivated individual. I will adapt my style of teaching to suit each and every individual
- Exam times can be very stressful and I will ensure that my tutees have an effective studying and organisational method to relive parts of their stresses
- Due to the Covid-19 lockdown and the difficulties with online learning at that time, I self taught myself a lot of the Mathematics A Level syllabus and so can identify the different and easier methods to understand the complexities
- I am a very vibrant individual who loves teaching and helping others attain the grade they desire
- My experience of a tutor began whilst I was in Sixth Form. As a formal mentor to a group of 25 children, I was easily approachable and helped many with their school homework. This initial experience grew into that of a formal tutor. I have experience tutoring Mathematics at a GCSE Level.
