About Charlotte

Having been a rigorous student in high school and now at university, I value punctuality and serious work. Therefore, I am always on time and my lesson plans are always planned out in advance and based on student needs. Still, I know that school can often be a source of stress, so I always make it so that my tutoring sessions don't bring another layer of pressure and anxiety to my students. I am here to help.

About the lesson

Approach: Adapt to student needs. Provide support for approaching tests and assignments. Help students focus on learning objectives.

Methods: practice tests, mind maps, flash cards for content review. For skill review (English and French), practice making essay plans, review PEEL paragraphs using graphic organizers.

Typical lesson plan:

Vocabulary review with some flash cards.

Then, attack homework if needed, helping student understand objective of the assignment.

Do a practice test or essay on topic currently studied in class.

Meta ignition moment: identify an area needing improvement and a plan of study on that point.

What sets me apart: fully bilingual, in background, lots of practice with research and essay writing, international understanding.

Who: high school and under. I have experience teaching English and French as a foreign language but I have studied them as my native languages as well. Economics is currently my main area of study. I have experience with students 8-16.
