About Shayaan
Hi, I'm Shayaan, a Mathematics with Economics student at Loughborough University with a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in their studies.
Having recently completed my own A Levels, I understand the challenges students face and the pressure that can come with exams. I achieved an A* in Economics and an A in Mathematics, and I enjoy helping others develop a stronger understanding of subjects that can initially seem difficult.
Alongside my studies, I have previous tutoring experience from my time at Kumon, where I worked with students of different ages and abilities. This taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting explanations to suit each individual student.
I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students can develop both their understanding and their confidence, whether they are looking to improve their grades, prepare for exams, or simply gain a stronger grasp of the subject.

My lessons are focused on building understanding rather than memorising content. In Economics, I like to use real-world examples to explain concepts and then work through exam-style questions to develop application and evaluation skills. For Maths, I break topics down into simple steps before gradually introducing more challenging questions.
I achieved an A* in A Level Economics and currently study Mathematics with Economics at Loughborough University. I also have previous tutoring experience from my time working at Kumon, where I supported students of different ages and abilities.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are suitable for GCSE and A Level students. I adapt sessions to each student's needs, whether that's improving confidence in a difficult topic, preparing for exams, or aiming for top grades. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
