About Alex
I am a recently graduated Economics student, with expertise in Macro, Micro, Econometrics and Mathematical Economics currently writing my PhD proposal. I have a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Economics both from Lancaster University, achieving a first class (1:1) and distinction respectively. I just returned from an additional semester abroad studying MSc Finance at WHU Otto Beisheim Management School in Germany. I have been tutoring locally for just over a year now, with pupils ranging from GCSE Maths to third year Economics, all seeing a boost in their grades (testimonies available upon request).

My method is first to understand what level the you are at, your strengths and where you struggle. This will be done by first chatting about the syllabus, topics and courses you are taking, then going through some questions/samples of work in these areas. Once this has been established, I will supplement the content your teachers/lecturers provide by talking through their examples and providing my own (most/all of which will be provided beforehand). I will also ask you to explain things back to me, have conversations about the topics and walk through examples to ensure understanding. Everybody learns in different ways, and if my methods are not working for you then I can adapt to meet your needs, you only have to ask!

Alex was recommended by my school teacher. Alex really helped me with A Level Maths and Economics. Couldnt have done it without him really! Everyone else in the maths class got B's but i came through with an A!
