About Marc
I’m Marc, an Economics PhD with more than five years of experience teaching, mentoring, and tutoring university students. During my doctoral studies, I also served as an instructor of record, which gave me extensive experience explaining difficult material clearly and working with students one on one.
My background is strongest in economics and quantitative coursework, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. I’ve worked with students at different levels and with very different needs, from building confidence with introductory material to working through more rigorous college-level courses.
I take tutoring seriously and come prepared. My goal is to provide a professional, low-stress environment where students can ask questions freely, work through difficult material, and leave each session with a clearer understanding of what they are doing and why.

My lessons are built around what you need to understand and accomplish. I start by identifying where the confusion begins, then break the material down and work through questions step by step until the underlying logic makes sense.
For ongoing tutoring, I focus on building a strong foundation so you can approach new questions more confidently on your own. If you are preparing for an exam or working through a difficult assignment, we can take a more focused approach and concentrate on the areas giving you the most trouble.
A typical lesson starts with the topics or questions you want to cover. We work through examples together and then make sure you can apply the ideas independently.
I work with students studying microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, from introductory courses through more advanced college-level coursework.
