About Rachel
Hi there! I am an Economics Graduate who’s passionate about improving their students’ grades in Maths and Statistics, alongside making learning enjoyable. A little bit about me, I achieved a 9 in GCSE Maths, an A in A-level Maths and a 2:1 in my Economics degree. I remember how stressful it was to study for my GCSEs and A-levels, and I myself had a tutor for my A-level Biology to help me achieve my target grade. My tutor helped me build my confidence and understanding greatly, and I wanted to help current students feel the same. I know Maths and Statistics are subjects that some students can struggle with, which is why I want to help grow their confidence and ability with these subjects.

I have been tutoring for 4 months now and I tutor at KS3 level, GCSE and A-level for both Maths and statistics. For GCSE and A-level Maths, I teach for a variety of exam board specifications including Edexcel, AQA and OCR. For GCSE Statistics, I teach the Edexcel and/or AQA exam specifications. My lessons are an hour long, and I usually tutor each student once or twice a week. I cater my lessons to each students’ needs, to ensure that they are learning in a way that benefits them. Whether this be working through examples together, giving students practice questions to work on in or outside of lessons, or simply creating a safe space for students to ask as many questions as they need to. I find tailoring my lessons to each student is the best way to improve their understanding (and their grades). If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. I am happy to answer any and all questions to ensure you are getting the best experience possible.
