About Lauren
I have over 5 years of experience teaching music theory and songwriting through online live lessons.
I studied advanced Music Education topics focused on beginner instruction and composition development. Earlier in my career, I worked with Future Arts Learning Center, Washington, helping younger students understand theory through creative activities and simplified explanations.
I also supported beginner songwriting workshops at Open Path Youth Music Program.
I enjoy helping students move from confusion to confidence because understanding music often transforms overall learning progress.

I teach music theory through practical examples rather than memorization.
Students learn songwriting basics, notation reading, harmony, rhythm structures, chord construction, ear training, composition exercises, arrangement concepts, and beginner musicology topics.
I connect theory directly to singing and instruments so concepts feel useful and engaging.
My lessons are especially helpful for students who previously found theory confusing or intimidating.
