About Kandice
Hi!
My name is Kandice and I have been teaching for a year. I have been a student myself in university for three years.
Seeing the 'I did it' smile come across the face of my students makes my job the best in the world.
Math has always been my favorite subject, all throughout school. When I was in high school I would get in trouble constantly for helping the other kids and not getting my own work done! I want everyone to know that they can succeed with just a little help. Every student has the right to learn at their own pace, time, and ability.

I know that math is hard, frustrating, and confusing. Especially for those who are not natural at it. Feeling stupid is the worst feeling in the world and my goal is to make sure that all of my students feel comfortable, smart, and capable of their math abilities
K-12 students
My teaching method is to adapt to whatever my student understands and the method that works for them; Visually, repetition, examples with real-life scenarios, charts, puppets, you name it! No way is the wrong way as long as you are understanding.
A typical lesson plan could be one problem or an entire chapter. The end goal is that my student is confident and knowledgeable in their math abilities.
