About Mateo
I am an undergraduate History student from Merseyside, I attended a Grammar School and now attend Durham University so I understand the importance of good quality teachers that can inspire a passion for History, as this was the case and still is for me.
I enjoy music, reading and sports and hold a part time job so I recognise the responsibility for upholding good customer experience.
I am very down to earth and approachable and know that I am qualified both in terms of education and my own passion for the subject to provide an excellent history tutoring service.

My classes will focus on certain essay writing techniques or pieces of content, for example source analysis or the Russian Revolution.
They will allow me to hone in on certain skills, concepts or content that the student may be struggling with in class, and give personalised tutoring based on this. This can help in many different essay subjects including RE and English amongst others.
I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE, did A Level History and now I am reading for a degree in History and Spanish at Durham.
My lessons will be for GCSE and before, ages 11-16, as this allows me to give strong foundational skills and tailor my lessons to different content, but I do specialise.
