About Siobhan
My name is Siobhan and I am from Dublin, Ireland and have been highly involved in teaching and training people from diverse and global nationalities. Over the length of my career I have developed training and teaching programs for all levels and age groups.
Volunteering with Homework Groups, working as a Teacher’s Assistant early in my career and teaching adults conversational and Business English have given me a wide and varied teaching experience built up over a number of years. This has led me to become certified by TEFL in 2018. I have been tutoring in a freelance position for a number of years in person and online. I am comfortable with both group and 1 to 1 settings. I have a keen interest in languages and along with teaching English and Irish to a wide variety of ages and levels, I am currently learning Turkish myself.
I believe that the student leads the way and the tutor must follow that lead. No matter the age or level of the student learning should be fun. For children and adults alike I use games, quizzes, videos to make lessons immersive and memorable. I place a great importance in keeping the confidences of my peers, superiors and students. I am approachable, and always willing to assist where needed.
