To summarize; while I am gifted intellectually I am also compassionate and dependable towards your needs. I homeschooled my 3 boys of multiple school age groups and also teach my infant son speaking and language courses due to his disability. So I have a history of being patient with ALL age groups and can tutor everything from prekindergarten to undergraduate studies.

My greatest strengths as a tutor lie in lesson planning, curriculum development, and scaffolded learning. This is tailored to YOUR individual needs. The goal for the first lesson is capitalizing on what the material is, what your goals are and how we think we can achieve them. (what is your study plan? this is ESSENTIAL to success) I have been complimented numerous times for my candid approach; I show students how I found the answer and how to use their resources (textbooks, files etc) to their advantage. I recap and summarize not only at the end of every lesson but each concept. I really enunciate on the notion that with sciences each lesson builds on another; so I love to bridge those gaps of understanding with confidence.

Laura is a very smart, articulate woman that has been in school most of her life to learn various subjects. Laura has a Bachelor's Degree and has tutored all ages, specializing in college science. She treats each student with respect and teaches at the students pace. Laura is a very ambitious woman. I know this because I'm her mother.
