About Evelyn
I am an Economics tutor with over 5 years of experience supporting students in their IGCSE and A-Level preparation. My teaching focuses on building a clear understanding of core concepts such as supply and demand, elasticity, and government intervention before moving to more advanced areas like macroeconomic policy and global trade. I strongly believe in grounding theory in practical, real-world examples, which makes abstract ideas much easier to grasp. During lessons, I encourage students to actively engage with questions rather than passively memorize content. Past paper practice forms a major part of my tutoring approach, as it trains students to think in the way examiners expect. I carefully go over each question, breaking down both strengths and areas for improvement. By practicing essay planning and diagram application, students develop greater confidence in structured writing and evaluation. I also provide clear exam strategies that help manage time and maximize marks. My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and always tailored to the student’s needs. Many of my students have improved their grades significantly, often moving from uncertainty to mastery within a few months.
