About Vjeran
Zine fests are packed right now — artists of every skill level, hand-drawn work everywhere, digital or traditional. You can be one of them. Draw whatever you want, however you want.
You'll learn drawing as a way of visual thinking — patient and process-led, starting at your level, finding your own way of drawing rather than someone else's.
Published small-press comic book author, illustrator, and conceptual artist. 20+ years teaching and facilitation experience. MA Philosophy & Art. Enhanced DBS and PVG disclosure held. Neurodivergent (ADHD) — teaching from lived experience, not just theory.

If traditional teaching has ever felt too rigid or too fast for you — including if you're neurodivergent, returning to drawing after years away, a writer moving into comics, or someone who's been told you "can't draw" — you'll find sessions adapt to how you actually work.
Sessions follow an overall arc — understanding drawing, building observation and technique, then narrative application — but what each one actually covers is intuitive, shaped by what's engaging or challenging you that week. Depending on where you're starting, that might mean blind contour and gesture drawing to build observational skills, copying comics and illustrations to learn from other artists, or panel layout and storyboarding if you're turning your own writing into comics.
You can work across traditional materials — pencil, charcoal, coloured pencil — or digital tools like Wacom tablet and Krita, whatever you already have. Delivered online, so we can work together regardless of location. Sessions run 60–90 minutes.
