About Bailey

Hi, I'm Dr. Bailey Ehrgott, a guitarist and educator with degrees from Berklee College of Music and the University of North Texas, where I earned my Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Studies. I have taught private lessons, university courses, guitar ensembles, and summer music programs, working with students of all ages and experience levels. In addition to teaching, I maintain an active performing career and have been recognized nationally.

My students have gone on to attend respected music programs, including Berklee College of Music, University of North Texas, University of Northern Colorado, and other collegiate music institutions. Whether you're a beginner learning your first chords or an advanced musician developing improvisation, technique, and musicianship, lessons are tailored to your individual goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is simple: every student is unique. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, interests, and learning style while building a strong musical foundation. Areas of study may include technique, fretboard knowledge, scales, arpeggios, chord vocabulary, improvisation, ear training, music theory, reading notation and tablature, rhythm, songwriting, and learning songs by ear.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Bailey.

Bailey is an excellent teacher. I’ve been learning with her for a while, specifically guitar and basic music theory. She’s personable, funny, and lighthearted. She’s patient and great at explaining complex topics into easy-to-consume breakdowns to help the info land. Outside of my lessons, she recently recorded some guitar for a song I’m releasing. Seeing her apply the knowledge she teaches in studio as a professional performer was awesome. I would recommend Bailey 10/10!

I've studied with Bailey for four years now, she's personal, a great player, she's not afraid to push her students where needed (which I appreciate). She will accommodate lessons and is flexible.

I love teacher Bailey. She is easy to understand (I didn't know anything about playing music, and I'm 40 years old). She also has made the lessons fun and engaging, and I've never felt rushed to learn or know anything; she teaches at my pace. I really look forward to my lessons.
