About René
Bachelor's degree in Piano from the INBAL's Escuela Superior de Música and currently pursuing a master's in Musical Arts. I have participated in festivals throughout the country. First place winner of the 2022 "Villahermosa" International Piano Competition.
I also have experience as a composer. I composed the soundtrack for the movie Jhoyero. Even though my work focuses on the Piano nowadays, this experience allows me to create especially tailored excercises to develop my students' skills and sensibilities as much as possible.
As a teacher, starting in 2014 I worked as an assistant in music initiation lessons for children. Since then I have had students of various ages and levels: in academies, private lessons, and as TA. From beginners to INBAL students.

Every hand, every ear, and every mind is different. We'll explore different strategies that I've honed from over a decade of experience as a classical pianist to find the approach that works best for your strengths and goals, be it learning songs from your favorite artist, nourishing a lifelong hobby, or an audition for admission in a professional level school. I have extensive knowledge of musical theory (solfeggio/harmony/counterpoint), as well as different schools of piano technique that we can take advantage of as needed.
