About Fiona
As a dedicated piano tutor with 14 years of experience, I am passionate about sharing the joy of music with students from school to college. My journey began when I realized how powerful music can be in expressing emotions and building confidence. Since then, I have committed myself to helping students discover their unique musical voices.
Throughout my career, I have achieved significant milestones, such as successfully preparing students for competitions and performances, which has been incredibly rewarding. I create a nurturing environment where students feel safe to explore their creativity and improve their skills.
I believe that learning piano should be both fun and educational. I tailor my lessons to each student’s interests and goals, whether they want to play classical pieces or contemporary songs. My aim is to instill a love for music that lasts a lifetime. Together, we celebrate every small achievement, making the learning journey enjoyable and inspiring. I look forward to guiding my students as they unlock their potential and experience the magic of playing the piano!

My teaching methodology for piano focuses on compassion, creativity, and flexibility to help students thrive. I believe in understanding each student’s unique learning style and musical interests, which allows me to create personalized lessons that inspire and motivate.
Using real-life examples and case studies, I connect the music we learn to everyday experiences. This makes lessons more engaging and relatable, helping students see the value of their skills beyond the piano.
I encourage creativity by allowing students to explore different genres, from classical to jazz and pop. This approach not only keeps lessons fun but also helps students develop their own musical identity.
Flexibility is key; I adapt my teaching style to meet each student's needs and goals. Whether they're beginners or more advanced players, I focus on building a solid foundation while challenging them to grow.
I also emphasize accountability, encouraging students to set goals and track their progress. This helps them stay motivated and committed to their musical journey. Together, we will make learning piano an enjoyable and rewarding experience!
