About Amy

Hi, I’m Amy Welch — a dedicated educator with a career focused on teaching business and marketing courses while guiding students to develop practical, real-world skills. I specialize in **image editing and digital publication design**, teaching Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to help students bring their creative ideas to life. I am **certified in Photoshop** and currently pursuing my **InDesign certification** to ensure my instruction stays at the professional level. Before teaching, I gained hands-on experience in print production, working with a newspaper, a lifestyle magazine, and serving as a yearbook advisor. This professional background allows me to share not only software skills but also industry insights, workflow strategies, and the creative decision-making that goes into producing polished, professional publications. I am passionate about helping students develop both technical proficiency and artistic confidence. Whether designing layouts, editing images, or creating multimedia projects, I focus on practical skills, creativity, and preparing students for future careers in design, marketing, and communications. My goal is to empower students to express themselves visually and professionally through every project they undertake.

**About My Lessons – by Amy**

In my Adobe Photoshop and InDesign courses, I focus on hands-on, project-based learning that allows students to develop real-world design skills. My approach combines step-by-step instruction, creative exercises, and practical applications so students not only understand the tools but also learn how to use them to communicate ideas effectively.

A typical lesson begins with a brief demonstration of key features or techniques, followed by guided practice where students work on their own projects. I provide individualized feedback throughout, helping students refine their designs and solve challenges independently. Lessons often conclude with a reflection or showcase, giving students the opportunity to see their growth and learn from peers.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend technical instruction with design principles, drawing from years of teaching business, marketing, and digital media. I focus on creativity, precision, and professional workflow, preparing students for real-world design tasks.

These courses are ideal for high school and college students, aspiring graphic designers, marketing students, and anyone looking to enhance their digital design skills. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to refine your expertise, my lessons help you gain confidence and mastery in Photoshop and InDesign.
