About Laura
I became a teacher because I genuinely love helping children discover what they’re capable of. There’s nothing better than seeing that moment when something finally clicks and a child realises they can do it.
I’m down to earth, friendly, and believe that children learn best when they’re relaxed, engaged, and enjoying themselves. I like to bring plenty of humour into my lessons because learning should be something children look forward to, not something they dread.
As a Deputy Headteacher and SENCO, I know the primary curriculum inside out and have taught every year group from EYFS to Year 6. I’m particularly passionate about STEM subjects and believe the best learning is hands-on, practical, and full of opportunities to explore, question, and solve problems. Every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit their individual needs, helping them build confidence as well as knowledge.
My aim is simple: to make learning enjoyable, help children believe in themselves, and give them the skills they need to succeed long after our lessons have finished.

I’m an experienced Deputy Headteacher and SENCO with over 13 years of teaching experience across every primary year group, from EYFS to Year 6. I understand that every child learns differently and tailor my lessons to build confidence, close learning gaps, and help children reach their full potential.
Whether your child needs support with reading, writing, maths, SATs preparation, or a boost in confidence, I provide engaging, personalised online tutoring in a calm and encouraging environment. My extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of learning needs means I can adapt my teaching to suit every learner.
