About Alfredo
I’m originally from Latin America and currently based in Hobart, Australia. Professionally, I’m a dentist, writer, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people through communication, culture, and storytelling.
I’ve always believed that learning a language should feel exciting, natural, and personal — not stressful or robotic. That’s one of the main reasons I decided to start teaching Spanish. I enjoy helping people gain confidence, discover a new culture, and experience the joy of real conversations in another language.
As someone who also had to adapt to a new country and language environment, I understand how intimidating learning can sometimes feel. That’s why I focus on creating relaxed, supportive, and enjoyable lessons where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning naturally along the way.
Beyond grammar, I want my students to experience Spanish through humor, music, stories, culture, and real-life conversation.

As a native Spanish speaker, dentist, and writer from Latin America, I bring a conversational and cultural approach to teaching, not just grammar rules. My lessons are ideal for beginners, travelers, professionals, or anyone wanting to improve their conversational Spanish in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Lessons can be online or in person in Hobart, and I adapt each class to the student’s goals and personality.

Details
My standard rate is $30 AUD per hour for personalized Spanish lessons online or in person in Hobart.
For small groups of 2 to 4 students, the rate is reduced to $25 AUD per person per hour, making lessons more affordable and interactive for friends, couples, or small study groups.
Lessons are fun, practical, and adapted to each student’s goals and personality. I focus strongly on real conversation, confidence building, pronunciation, culture, music, humor, and natural communication rather than memorizing grammar rules.
I also offer a free introductory session so we can get to know each other and discuss your learning goals before starting.
