I begin each lesson with a brief overview of the topic, and the high level points we will cover. I then like to engage you by asking what you may already know about the subject. There isn’t a right or wrong answer! I generally like to take a pause after each main section to answer questions or decompress a little. I believe short stretches of information are retained better. There is always a little humor thrown in to my lessons. Sometimes a little cue like something funny actually helps you to recall information. At the end of the lesson I open it up to questions or going over something that might not have been clear. I make ample time for this. I’d rather you really know the material than be rushed through it.
