About Wren
I am a piano teacher with over 9 years of experience and an Associate of Music in Piano Skills. I specialize in teaching students preparing for church worship, community theater, or professional wedding band performances.
My lessons are motivating and personalized to each student’s goals. I focus on technique, confidence, and musical expression. Students learn practical skills for accompaniment, improvisation, and live performance.
I guide students in sight-reading, chord voicings, and rhythmic accuracy. Lessons also cover ensemble awareness, supporting singers, and following conductors. Each session balances technical development with creative application.
Whether performing in worship, theater, or weddings, I help students become versatile and confident pianists. Lessons are hands-on, engaging, and goal-oriented.

My teaching approach emphasizes connecting music theory to practical piano playing. I teach fundamentals, chord progressions, inversions, and harmonic analysis while demonstrating concepts on the keyboard.
I work with exam takers and classical performers, tailoring exercises to strengthen both theory and technique. Students learn to recognize harmonic patterns, analyze music, and apply theory in improvisation and performance.
Lessons include hands-on exercises for chord inversions, building progressions, and experimenting with harmonies. Students see how theory informs expression, composition, and musical interpretation.
The goal is to provide a strong theoretical foundation that supports both technical skill and creativity. Students leave lessons confident, capable, and ready to apply theory in their playing. Together, we make theory practical, engaging, and inspiring.
