About Zara
Hello! I am a dedicated piano instructor with a passion for helping students discover their own musical voice. With a Grade 6 Practical qualification and a Grade 5 Theory certification, I bring a high level of technical proficiency and academic rigor to every lesson. My goal is to transform the "daunting" aspects of music, like complex sight-reading or dry theory, into an engaging and rewarding journey.

My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that music should be accessible and rewarding, not just a series of drills. What makes me unique is my "dual-track" approach: I integrate Grade 5 Music Theory directly into our practical sessions. This means you won't just learn how to play a piece; you’ll understand the structure and "why" behind the notes, which makes memorization and expression much easier.
I focus on building a relaxed, judgment-free environment. I believe that a student who feels comfortable is a student who is willing to take the creative risks necessary to improve.
