About Makiysha

Hi! I’m Makiysha, and I’m 14 years old. I’m really excited about the opportunity to become a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand things and feel more confident in school. I’m currently in ninth grade and my strongest subjects are Math, Science, English. I’ve helped classmates and friends study, and I’ve found that I really enjoy explaining things in simple, creative ways that make sense to them. I’m a patient person, and I always try to be encouraging—no question is ever too small or silly. I want to make learning feel a little less stressful and a lot more fun. Outside of school, I’m into writing, drawing, dancing, and I think being able to relate to people is a big part of being a good tutor. Thanks so much for considering me! I’d love the chance to support other students and help them feel proud of what they can do.

As a dedicated high school student excelling in AP classes, I am uniquely positioned to help students in grades 1-8 thrive academically. I understand the challenges younger students face because I’ve been there myself, and I can offer relatable, effective strategies to make learning engaging and accessible. Whether it’s mastering geometry concepts, exploring the intricacies of chemistry, or diving into world history, I’m committed to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment. My goal is to build confidence and spark a love for learning in my students, ensuring they not only succeed but also enjoy the process along the way. Let’s work together to achieve your academic goals!
