About Tess
I am an MSc-qualified Chemistry educator with over eight years of experience, passionate about helping students see science as meaningful and exciting. My Chemistry lessons aim to make molecular interactions come alive through stories, visualization, and reasoning. Every session begins by breaking down concepts into everyday analogies — like comparing ionic bonding to magnetic attraction or reaction kinetics to traffic flow. These visual narratives help students internalize abstract chemistry with real-world context.
We progress through key areas such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, and organic mechanisms. Each topic is taught through diagrams, simulations, and reaction mapping so that students understand the “how” and “why” behind every chemical change. I believe visualization is essential — if students can imagine the process, they can master the concept.
Practical applications form a major part of my teaching. I integrate examples from medicine, materials science, and environmental studies to demonstrate how chemistry shapes the modern world. Students engage in problem-solving, equation balancing, and conceptual exercises that build both memory and logic.
