About Sandra
I am a dedicated educational support provider with a long history of assisting students in a wide range of ages and subjects. My passion for intellectual development and my commitment to understanding the individual needs of all my students is crucial to my success as a tutor. Additionally, I have extensive experience providing academic support to students with ADHD and autism. In terms of my own educational experience, I have dual Bachelor's degrees from Baruch College in Psychology and Communication Studies with a concentration in Group and Interpersonal Communication. I have also taken supplementary courses at the University of Albany to gain certifications in Early Childhood Development, Early Intervention, and Childhood Language Development. Using the knowledge I accrued during my studies, I have been offering patient, personalized educational support to students for close to 10 years.

I offer individualized lesson plans in a variety of subjects with a concentration in early childhood, literacy, resume building, and SHSAT prep. My teaching methods are centered around establishing a baseline for each student to build a personal curriculum based on their specific strengths and support needs. My extensive academic experience encompasses reading and math lessons for children as young as 4, and extends into adulthood with resume and cover letter writing support. I also have the education and abilities necessary to support students with special needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities. The key to my success with an individualized approach to learning is filled with patience and dedication to understanding every student's specific needs.
