About Cesar
Hello, I’m Cesar Rodriguez-Munoz, a UC Davis graduate who studied Economics and Statistics. My approach to tutoring is rooted in the belief that understanding the ‘why’ behind mathematical and statistical concepts is crucial. I’ve observed that many students are often taught how to solve problems but not why those solutions work. In my sessions, I strive to fill this gap by encouraging students to articulate their understanding, thereby reinforcing their learning and boosting their confidence.
I approach each student’s unique academic journey with patience and empathy, always aiming to bridge knowledge gaps without judgment. My goal is not just to help students succeed in their courses but also to instill a genuine appreciation for the subject matter. I look forward to assisting students at both the high school and college levels.

In the initial session, I’m open to covering any topic you prefer. If you’re uncertain where to begin, going through homework is an excellent starting point. This helps me identify the specific areas where the student may be struggling. During that session, I’ll focus on asking questions targeting those issues, aiming to boost the student’s confidence in the topic at hand. If needed, we can dedicate entire sessions to practicing a single concept. For such cases, I prepare worksheets that we can go over together to ensure a thorough understanding.
