About Carlye
I am a third year student at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. I am a double major in vocal performance and modern language studies, and I will be studying abroad this coming fall! I love hanging out with friends, traveling, singing and playing piano, and learning new languages!

For my lessons, I first like to start out with some breathing to center ourselves and get in the right headspace to sing (ex take three deep breaths in to focus). Then I like to move forward to breathing warm ups. It is important to do these so you can prepare your body to sing (ex. breathe in for 4 counts, out for 8 etc). From here I like to move forward with some vocal slides to start to warm up the voice. After the slides, I will move into scales and arpeggios to get the voice moving. We will do these on different consonants and vowels. Following this, for the rest of the lesson I like to let the student decide what they'd like to work on so they can practice setting their own goals.
