About Aleena
Hi, my name is Aleen and when I was growing up , I remember my peers , my relatives and people I knew etc didn’t like maths mainly because they didn’t understand it. Adding onto this, when I was in year7 I was beginning to like maths and realised maths is actually an easy and likeable subject if one is presented with a good teacher who can actively teach. Thus, I saw my math teacher as a role model in which I wanted to grow up and teach others maths in the same manner and follow his same pedagogy. Furthermore, I am really dedicated and highly motivated to enhancing students’ knowledge, especially in the subject maths.

In order to tutor the next generation effectively , I shall prepare prior to the lesson and have a methodical approach to teaching my students in which my lessons shall be engaging and interesting. My goal is to make lessons /subjects such as Maths enjoyable for other students as it was for me. Within my lessons I shall follow a 4 step pillar which will consist of: talking about the subject and key equations for maths etc and then I’ll ensure to do a few practice questions together, then I’ll allow the child to do a few questions themselves and check their knowledge and if they are struggling I shall provide them support. After this, I shall provide the student with past questions from exam papers so they are actively seeking knowledge and this will show me how they are doing .
