About Lisa
My name is Lisa and I am a year 12 student. At school, maths always gets a bad rep for being the "boring" subject. As someone who has an interest in maths, I often find myself helping my peers. Their positive feedback inspired me to help more young students overcome the notion that maths is a difficult, boring subject and to help them achieve their full potential towards a career in STEM.
I speak both Mandarin and English fluently. In my spare time, I enjoy learning about cool, obscure animals (check out tardigrades), mechanical keyboards, and listening to music.

I offer lessons to students from grade 1 to 8. Lessons are typically an hour in length.
I strive to help students build their knowledge based on understanding, instead of relying on memorisation by explaining the underlying principles behind theories, methods, and processes. Additionally, as a student myself, I am familiar with a range of self-study resources, which I recommend to younger students to develop their self-study skills.
I have completed mathematical methods unit 1&2 in year ten with distinction. I achieved high distinction and prizes in competitions such as the AMC, AIMO, and AMO. I also have two years of tutoring experience tutoring younger students.
