About Mallory
My name is Mallory, but I go by Mal. I'm a 20 year old student at SIUE and have a very diverse work history. Childcare and education have always been a passion of mine and my ultimate goal in life is to inspire young minds.
Teachers have a bit of power to influence a student to be the best they can be, and that makes me very excited to be in the field of education.
I love music, theatre, and films and will more than likely make references to these things as they are linked very closely to literature as well!

As a young future teacher, I am still exposed to teaching methods that are somewhat outdated. My goal as an educator is to teach English in a fun and inviting way, because English Education should be fun to learn!
I believe it is important for students to be invested in what they are learning, because it is easier to learn when something interests them. My plans will include activities (varying based on age) that could include songs or games that pertain to the particular topic. This is a method I found worked great for the students I have been exposed to. Turning the lesson into a game can enhance the student's want to "win" therefor learn with a reward.
