Being a student means I have the recent expertise in writing and reading a flurry of writing styles which range quite complex. But as a student I also experience how it feels to have struggled in improving literacy and critical analysis. I have tips and tricks that have worked for me that can prove useful for those starting out. Also, as a young person I can relate and help those how are eager to develop and learn as I was. :)

As a current Law student I can provide my current tools and tricks to achieving critical thinking and analyses within essay writing - the most essential and difficult part to achieve. Being a Law student requires me to have excellent literacy and interpretative skills, as well as critical analysis and synthesis between complex legal texts. I can provide simple but effective essay structures and approaches to essays. These may be in preparation for school exams or just to improve comprehensive reading and writing. Having done both a dissertation in Advanced Higher Modern Studies and English, I understand what is required to read thoughtfully and also gain marks in writing. Lessons should be relaxed and fun, perhaps looking at set texts provided or just general exercises. I find reading news articles, particularly journalistic polemics, to not only help gain knowledge but by critiquing and identify the writing style and how it was achieved to be quite fun. This also helps in general literacy skills!!
