I am a student at Loughborough University. I compete in high-level sport and am looking for tutoring to help teach other students and earn some cash to fund uni and sporting adventures. Hopefully looking to travel with some of the money earned whilst funding an Ironman too.

Hello my name's Rory. My teaching ethos is to give lessons that break down problems into small and manageable steps, helping the subjects taught feel simple and easier to understand than they may have been initially introduced. I’m a big fan of using videos to help learning and will often talk through the video and ask questions to see your understanding and try to challenge your knowledge. Studying for my engineering degree has given me a strong foundation in advanced mathematics, making me well-suited to tutor GCSE and A-level maths. Engineering demands a deep understanding of topics such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics, as well as the ability to apply them in real-world problem solving. Through my coursework, I have learned to break down complex concepts into clear, logical steps—an approach that is invaluable when explaining material to students. My experience tackling challenging mathematical problems has developed my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and perseverance, which I pass on to my learners. I also understand the importance of building confidence alongside technical skill, ensuring students not only grasp the content but also feel prepared to apply it effectively in exams and beyond.
