About Ylva
My Name is Ylva and I am a current geography student at the University of Edinburgh. I have been a tutor for over a year specialising in German and Geography and teach both privately and in a language cafe where I work with a group of students.
I graduated from college as the best girl in the year with A*A*AA (A* Geography) and would love to help you achieve your personal best!
I find geography inspiring and want to show you how interesting the subject can be. I will use a variety of case studies which you can use for your exams. But I will also go beyond by explaining how geography impacts our everyday life, help us be more sustainable and show you geographical connections which you might find interesting.

Through hands-on experience with my students, I know that the best way to learn is by doing. Therefore, I make sure my lessons are split between theory and going through a variety of examples, questions and exercises.
My lesson structure:
5-10 min - go through any homework/ questions from last lesson
20-30 min - go through new content together
15-20 min - work on examples and questions
For my online tutoring, I use an online whiteboard which means we will be able to write and edit at the same time.
