About Meghan
Education is very important to me. I fell in love with helping children after having a son with a visual and intellectual disability. Working with his individual education program team helped me help him move from being behind grade level to above grade level, three grade levels in reading. English language skills are necessary throughout your life. I am an avid reader and play educational games daily to sharpen my skills. I am constantly looking for different ways to improve how I can teach my students. Learning doesn’t always have to be regimented. You can learn through play as well.

I am a current reading and ELA interventionist teacher for students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I teach small, specific lesson focused groups for students struggling in different areas. These range from high frequency words and letter sounds in kindergarten to a novel study with comprehension in fourth grade to fluency, stamina, and comprehension in sixth grade. I take my students who are below grade level and use targeted, engaging lessons to bring them at least to grade level, if not above. My goal for each student is to make sure they succeed in school and use my lessons outside the classroom as well.
