About Austin
During my time at CU Boulder, I’ve done well in math, recently earning an A in Calculus. I have also made it a point to help other students who are struggling to stay up to speed. Before I was a student, I served in the Navy on a Submarine where I learned what it means to stay focused even in high pressure (just like on a test). During my time in the military is really where I learned to tutor, as I had many junior sailors who looked to me to teach them everything I could about different technical systems. Now I use that same method to help students succeed in school.

My approach to Math is a mixture of understanding basic concepts and repetition for solidification.
First, we’ll understand what it is exactly that you’re struggling with, then we’ll improve your approach to problems from initially reading a problem to finding a solution.
After you understand the fundamentals and solve some basic problems, we’ll work on repetition to make sure you can find an answer every time.
Many people also struggle with test anxiety! I can help to give some basic strategies to make sure you finish your test to the best of your abilities.
