About Paul
I joined the Victoria Police Force in the mid 1980's at the age of 19 and jumped in feet first at St Kilda in the days when St Kilda was ruled by prostitutes and names like Mark 'Chopper' Reed, Richard Mladenich. After a few years and several violent episodes
And a number of shootings including the Queen Street Massacre, I successfully made my way into a Detectives position in the Western Suburbs at Sunshine. I received a number of death threats and a couple of decent flogging. I was seconded 3 times to the Western Suburbs sex offence and child abuse unit.
I was promoted to Sergeant before eventually becoming a Detective Sgt at Geelong. I spent time as a Det Senior Sergeant in Charge of the Geelong drug and high crime unit.
In 2010 I confronted a hit man to prevent him murdering an innocent man and in the fight for his gun I ended up with some of my hip bone now being used to hold my left wrist and hand hand together and permanent irreparable damage to the nerve in my left Achilles. I have only now, 9 years later been nominated for a valour award for bravery.
I have a very tarnished view of today's police force and even more so of our judicial system.
I give regular lectures at private colleges in Melbourne and have returned to several every year for the past 8 years.

My methodology is dependent upon the occasion. If it's a group I play a big room very well and if it's a one on one then generally I find the student has a particular class or task to complete so I let them set then tempo and the system.
