About Amy
I have been a tutor for 15 years. I started through teaching family members in homeschool classes, tutoring through bachelor's degree and master's degree programs, and eventually obtained my teaching credential in Secondary Math. I have taught two years in the classroom (8th grade, and 9th/10th grade), and was involved with the development and progression through the Integrated Math curriculum. I have been a substitute teacher through all levels of school grades, from elementary through high school years. I also currently tutor for the CSET Math and CSET Multiple Subject exams which are used as teacher subject matter tests.

I am a very patient and adaptable tutor. I love to use color (very helpful for understanding processes and drawing pictures), and will rephrase my instruction as needed to help you understand the content being taught. I am aware of the interrelation between many of the mathematics fields and can help you understand how each topic relates to another.

Amy has been helping my daughter in math and science for a year now. She is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. She guides her without helping too much or giving all the answers. Also, she is reliable, arrives on time, and flexible. I highly recommend Amy!
If it weren't for Amy, I wouldn't have passed geometry. I will never be friends with geometry, but I respect it's significance, and respect Amy's ability.
I love it!! Great teacher and always there when I need her!! helped me pass math😁 thank you so much!
