About Brett
I have been teaching ELA, ESL, and Social Science content for the last 14 years. I got my BA at Reed College and then an MA in History from San Francisco State University. I practiced environmental law for five years after earning a JD from Vermont Law School. I'm currently a full-time ELA teacher and volleyball coach in Santa Monica, CA.

I like to use games where I can. There is a certain amount of information the student must learn first but games are a fun way to reinforce material and they offer a fun way for me to check for comprehension.
