About Sylvie
I am passionate about teaching creative writing in particular but thrive on teaching all English and Literacy skills from Early Reading and Writing, right the way through to GCSE. In my personal life, I have written many children’s books, a collection of poetry and a range of short stories of which some are under review for publication.

My name is Miss Edwards or Sylvie if you or your child prefer - Specialising in fast-tracking children’s progress (For instance, I have had multiple students make 3+ years’ progress within one academic year) - Experience teaching and private tutoring all age groups throughout EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3 (primary and secondary) - Maths & English plus all other curriculum subjects offered - Dramatically increasing pupils’ confidence - Building a fun and engaging rapport - Trained and qualified at an ‘Outstanding’ school rated by OFSTED - Rated personally by the DFE as ‘Outstanding’ in my teaching practice - 1-1 bespoke and targeted sessions - Discounted rates for more than one child learning within the session - 100% success rate in preparation for Grammar School entrance examinations I am a fully qualified experienced senior teacher currently working as Head of Year and Head of Department in two curriculum areas. I offer mainly Reading, Writing and Maths tutoring online and in person, providing bespoke lessons which follow the National Curriculum closely and ensure children are confident in demonstrating all of the skills required to meet the expected standard for their year group and beyond.
