About Addy
I tutor to motivate students and take some of the stress away from school. As a student, I went to tutors for many subjects and felt how to extra support made me more confident during lessons and tests. I started teaching to give students the same support I felt.
I have been tutoring online for the last 2 years, before working in-person with children who have learning disabilities. I can share recommendations from students and parents alike.

I was taught the Carden method of teaching during my TEFL program, meaning the child and their needs are centered. The motto is that we’re teaching people not subjects. I have three years of experience teaching under this method and have seen students be more involved and less stressed over difficult subjects and testing.
Lessons range from 30-45 minutes as I have seen that short, specific sessions are more helpful than drawn out ones. I have specific qualifications for young children aged 5-10 to learn grammar and speaking skills, but have more experience working with Leaving Cert aged people who need help with long form essay writing.
I always ask for a first meeting to understand what the person needs help with and to get to know their motivations so that following lessons can be tailored specifically to their needs.
