About Mia
Hi, I'm Mia and I look forward to being your new English tutor!
When I began my English journey at exam levels (so, that means GCSE), I had a like for English that had been tainted and trodden on by my previous teachers... It's very possible this is exactly how you feel too.
However, I got lucky. My year 10/11 English teacher was amazing! He was super passionate and knowledgeable, and he allowed me to realise my full potential. Due to my past experiences with English teachers, I never expected to have an interest in the subject again. But, here I am! Two GCSEs and two A Levels later, I'm sitting my dream degree in Creative Writing and English at the University of Chichester and loving every minute of it!
Whether of not you want to be as into English as I am, I believe my passions can help you to access your own potential within English.

I'm extremely passionate about English in and outside of the classroom. I achieved a grade 8 in English Literature at GCSE level, when originally began the course as a grade 5. This reinforced the idea, that practice really does make perfect and learning the skills that come with essay writing is key! I will teach you a basic essay structure that can be adapted for particular questions relevant to the exam you are due to sit, and we can work together to create a scheme of work that suits you and your needs, as well as developing analytical and creative skills.
I also have a B grade in both English Literature and English language (separate subjects) at A Level.
