About Sarah
I am a singing tutor with over 12 years of experience, specialising in teaching college students to grow as confident and expressive performers. My lessons focus on building strong vocal technique, including breath control, pitch, tone, and vocal agility, while encouraging creativity and emotional expression.
I use interactive and innovative teaching methods such as vocal improvisation, recording feedback, and song analysis. Each lesson is customised to the student’s learning style, pace, and goals, ensuring learning is effective and enjoyable.
Performance skills are a core part of my teaching. I guide students in stage presence, expressive delivery, and confidence for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are included to provide a complete understanding of music.
I encourage students to explore different genres and styles and develop their personal voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and accountability. I aim to make every lesson motivating, enjoyable, and transformative for every student.

My teaching approach to Singing is calm, organised, and supportive. I believe clear communication helps students understand their voice and use it confidently. I explain vocal techniques such as breathing control, pitch accuracy, tone balance, and voice projection in simple language. I listen carefully to each student and adjust lessons based on their strengths and challenges, ensuring steady improvement.
Creativity is an essential part of my lessons. I use creative warm-ups, expressive vocal exercises, and song interpretation to help students explore their natural sound. Students are encouraged to try different musical styles and express emotions freely while learning proper vocal technique.
Cultural sensitivity is deeply respected in my teaching. Singing is closely connected to culture and identity, so I welcome songs from different languages and traditions. I help students understand the meaning and background of each song, creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
Accountability is maintained through clear goals, structured practice routines, and continuous feedback. I track progress carefully and guide improvement step by step. Along with singing, I also teach music theory basics, ear training, rhythm practice, and voice care for complete vocal development.
