About Naomi
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Guitar and a Master of Music in Guitar Performance. During the past 11 years, I have taught students with a wide range of musical interests, from complete beginners to developing performers. My passion for guitar began through performing, composing, and exploring different musical styles. Over time, that passion naturally evolved into teaching, where I found great satisfaction in helping others build confidence through music. Watching students grow remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
My teaching philosophy focuses on combining technical understanding with artistic expression. I believe students learn best when they understand the purpose behind what they practice. Lessons are adapted to each learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals while maintaining a clear structure for progress. I encourage questions, experimentation, and creative exploration throughout the learning process. This approach helps students develop both competence and independence.
Outside teaching, I enjoy recording original music, studying performance techniques, and exploring new developments in music education. These interests allow me to bring fresh ideas into lessons and keep learning experiences engaging. Seeing students overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful goals inspires me every day. I strive to create a supportive environment where growth feels achievable and enjoyable. My goal is to help learners develop skills and confidence that last far beyond the lesson room.

My guitar lessons combine technique, creativity, and musical storytelling to help students become confident and expressive players. I believe learning is most effective when it feels connected to real music, so I use familiar songs, artist references, and practical demonstrations throughout each lesson. Students develop skills in chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, strumming control, solo phrasing, bending, vibrato, tone shaping, and musical expression. Rather than treating technique as a separate task, I show how every skill contributes to creating meaningful performances. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and designed to help learners enjoy the process of improvement.
Each student follows a learning path that reflects their goals and interests. Some learners focus on lead guitar techniques and improvisation, while others prefer accompaniment skills, songwriting, or performance preparation. I use structured exercises, listening activities, creative challenges, and guided practice sessions to strengthen both technical ability and musical understanding. Students who need encouragement receive patient support, while those seeking greater challenge are given opportunities to expand their skills further. This balance allows every learner to progress with confidence.
My goal is to help students feel comfortable expressing themselves through music. As skills improve, learners often discover greater confidence, creativity, and enjoyment in their playing. Lessons encourage curiosity, discipline, and personal growth. Every accomplishment becomes part of a larger musical journey. I want students to leave each lesson feeling motivated and excited about what they can achieve next.
