About Susana
I am a retired public-school teacher from the state of New Jersey with a lot of experience and a passion to share the Spanish language. For twenty years I have taught Spanish at the high school level as a certified teacher of Spanish in New Jersey. As a teacher of Spanish at the high school level I have been able to teach students College Prep and Honors Spanish I and II and Honors Spanish III and IV. My educational instruction and extracurricular activities are based on the integration of technology to assist and support students with 24/7 access and differentiated instruction as well as 21st-century skills. As a retired teacher, I would like to continue to share my teaching experience and foster a love of learning the Spanish language.
I have a master’s degree from Concordia University in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in IT and an undergraduate’s degree in Spanish and Business from Temple University. I currently hold state teaching certifications in NJ and PA. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the health care industry in a managerial position.
I look forward to hearing from you and await my opportunity to continue to share my knowledge and experience. I am confident that as a native Spanish speaker I can provide a teaching environment that is rich in the language, as well as providing an environment that includes technology and 21st-century skills with instruction that is differentiated and geared toward second language acquisition.
