About Sara

Hello there, I'm Sara, a graduate student of English Literature with a passion for guiding students. As a high school teacher, I've been immersed in the world of academia, helping students perfect their English essays for over six years. Academic Achievements: My academic journey includes holding a BA Honors degree in English Language and Literatures from Laurentian University. Teaching Experience: My experience spans diverse student backgrounds. I've worked with first-year undergraduates, international students, and high schoolers, helping them refine their research and writing skills. At the middle and high school levels, I specialize in preparing students for the rigor of university-level writing. Over the years, I've assisted hundreds of graduating high school students in crafting compelling college application essays. Passionate about Literary Criticism: I possess a deep understanding of literary criticism and am eager to share that knowledge with my students. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you, discuss literature, and embark on this educational journey together.

I employ a personalized teaching approach by analyzing the student's existing work to pinpoint areas for improvement. Once we identify these focus areas, we collaboratively develop targeted strategies to enhance their writing. With my unique educational background as a high school teacher, I am well-versed in addressing the requirements of high school, college, and university English courses.

Moreover, I go beyond traditional tutoring. I assist students in creating custom resumes and cover letters, empowering them to extend their learning beyond our sessions. Whether it's refining essay writing skills, I ensure a comprehensive and tailored learning experience.
