About Rich
I am a Chartered Professional Accountant who has worked in a variety of professional environments. Starting my career with Ernst & Young, I worked in Vancouver, San Francisco and New York on large audit files for exciting clients. I then transitioned into industry, where I worked in corporate finance for a publicly traded company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as well as a major Canadian university. Most recently, I started my own business. I bring an entrepreneurial mindset to finance and accounting and a diverse perspective to students as they embark on their careers.

I approach tutoring with a student-focused approach. I begin all sessions by asking the student what it is they would most like to accomplish during our session, and making sure we focus on that objective. I use practical real-world examples where possible to help provide context for students when addressing more complex topic areas. I also attempt to pose though-provoking questions throughout the lesson to inspire independent thought and to allow for students to explore their own ideas.
