About Helene
I am a versatile professional with experience in education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. As a former nurse, I developed strong listening, patience, communication, and people skills. Teaching is also an important part of my journey, and I enjoy helping students learn with confidence and at their own pace. Alongside education and healthcare, I am involved in business and entrepreneurship, which has strengthened my organization, creativity, and adaptability. These different experiences allow me to bring a practical, human, and structured approach to tutoring. I am passionate about sharing knowledge, encouraging progress, and helping each student achieve their personal goals.

My approach as a French tutor is practical, personalized, and focused on building confidence. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and learning style, whether they want to improve their speaking, grammar, vocabulary, writing, comprehension, or prepare for the TCF.
My teaching methodology combines clear explanations, guided practice, conversation, real-life examples, and regular review. I believe students progress faster when they understand the logic behind the language and have many opportunities to use it actively.
A typical lesson usually starts with a short review of previous material, followed by the introduction of a new topic or skill. We then practice through exercises, conversation, reading, listening, or writing activities. At the end of the lesson, I review the key points and provide feedback and recommendations for continued improvement.
What sets me apart is my patient, structured, and supportive approach. As a native French speaker, I help students learn both correct French and natural everyday communication. I also adapt my lessons to each student instead of using the same method for everyone.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from beginner to advanced level. I can help with school support, homework, conversation, professional French, general language improvement, and TCF preparation.
