Bonjour!
My name is Yoon and I am a French native teacher from Bretagne, France. I have graduated from University of British Columbia in Canada with Masters in French Language and Literature and I am a current PHD student in French at UBC. I have taught French for more than 12 years to people from all over the world and I have worked in private language institutions, Alliance Française and at the University of British Columbia as a French instructor. I have learned foreign languages such as English, Korean, Spanish and Japanese so I understand the challenges and struggles in learning a new language. I can help you to achieve your learning goals by focusing on your level, interests and needs. My teaching approach is communicative and interactive, maximizing the use of target language. I adapt to all ages, levels (A1 to C2) and nationalities. I am very attentive to your needs and I always try to bring innovative and playful practices to my teaching. Je m’appelle Yoon et je suis enseignante de français, diplômée en langue et littérature française. J’enseigne le français aux étrangers depuis plus de 12 ans. J’ai longtemps habité en France et en Corée mais maintenant, j’habite au Canada où je fais mon doctorat en français et travaille comme traductrice et enseignante. Je parle l’anglais, le français, le coréen et un peu d’espagnol. My teaching approach is communicative and interactive, maximizing the use of target language. I like to integrate audio-video materials to stimulate an interactive learning environment. My classes are also very structured and I adopt a thematic approach, encouraging the students to work on various topics.

Yoon was an wonderful find for us! She is a native teacher from France and her French is sooo beautiful. I hired her for my child to prepare for A2 DELF. She did such an amazing job and my son passed the test with success. After that nice experience, I decided to have intensive private classes with her. During that time, I could see what a good teacher she is because she has a tremendous amount of knowledge of what she is teaching. She also has the ability to pass it on to her students in an effective way because she knows the process of learning a new language. I would say that she is an exceptional teacher and I would continue to work with her!
Yoon is such a great tutor! She has really helped me gain more confidence in speaking French and has made lessons fun and enjoyable for me! She is reliable, passionate and patient. She is so knowledgeable in French language, culture, literature and history. I would definitely recommend her!!
I had Yoon as my teacher for 2 years and she helped me to successfully pass TEF and DALFC1 ! She is amazing, kind and very dedicated to teaching.
