I teach English with the embedded method or immersion style.
What to expect in the class?
Daily routine reporting. The class starts with talking about your daily routine. This helps students to learn reporting which is very essential.
Reading Aloud and Shadow reading: People barely read. Teachers do not encourage students to read. This helps not only to improve pronunciation but also lays a foundation to syntax.
Writing Tasks: Unseen passages to improve on vocabulary and syntax and improve your lexical range.
Listening exercises: You are to listen to a conversation and answer questions.
Speaking: The class starts with a speaking exercise (daily routine reporting) and ends with another. At the end of the class an exercise is given, such as, speaking on a topic with some hint words, some time to prepare to gather your thoughts, and then speak for about two minutes. This is slowly increased to 4 minutes tops.
Apart from these there are error findings exercises, jumbled sentences, fill in the blanks, etc.
This is a daily two-hour class but if you are doing a one-hour class then it can be done in two days.
The class is intended for school children (at least in class V) to adults.
